Investigation of bovine interleukin-6 gene polymorphism and its association with Cryptosporidium infection in calves

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is associated with inflammatory diseases, but its connection Cryptosporidium in Holstein calves remains unknown. This study aimed to investigate the effect of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) IL-6 on resistance and susceptibility prepare a phylogenetictree order show relation between species. Seventy-two samples were studied from healthy infected genotyped using tetra amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS). The phylogenetic tree was constructed by neighbor-joining method MEGA 7.0 software. results showed frequency 76.40% for T allele 23.60% C calves, while 73.60% 26.40% Cryptosporidium. did not reveal significant difference infectious animals according (P=0.637). demonstrated that C. parvum (HQ259589.1) an 81% bootstrap clustered hominis (KM012041.1). also indicated (KM012041.1) had common ancestor cuniculus. Additionally, andersoni(HQ259590.1) 88% support placed same clade muris (L19069.1), both them serpentis(KF240618.1). Further studies are required SNPs other regions or calves.
